Phyllis M. Neidlinger, 91, of Plymouth, formerly of Culver, passed away peacefully at home on June 25, 2017.
Phyllis was born on November 5, 1925 in Tippecanoe Township. She was one of 3 children born to Willis and
Elsie (Eisinger) Creakbaum. After graduating from Tippecanoe High School, she met and married Ralph
Neidlinger in Burr Oak. Together they raised 3 children.
For many years Phyllis drove a bus for Marshall Starke Developmental Center. She was a very dedicated wife
The “glue” of a remarkable marriage, Phyllis supported Ralph’s love of family, friends, entertaining, and wild life.
They both agreed that money is the cheapest thing in life.
Phyllis is survived by her daughter Janice (Lowell) Hurford of Plymouth; sons Wayne (Bonnie) Neidlinger of
Winter Haven, FL and Max Neidlinger of Culver; grandchildren Joe Neidlinger, Jeff (Rhonda), Mike (Michelle),
and T. Jay Hurford, Patricia (Ron) Rensburger, and Teresa (Eric) Schaefer; 13 great grandchildren; and 3 great-
Phyllis was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and sisters Velma Smith and Jane Cottrell.
A time of visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 27, 2017 from 4:00- 8:00 PM at the Odom Funeral Home,
Culver. Funeral services will follow on Wednesday, June 28, 2017 at 11:00 AM at the funeral home. Burial will
follow at Summit Chapel Cemetery in Bourbon.
Memorial may be given to Emmanuel United Methodist Church or Marshall-Starke Developmental Center.
