James H. Hill, 84, of Culver, IN and Green Valley, AZ, passed away on August 4, 2019, in Indianapolis, IN.
James was born January 26, 1935, in Chicago, Illinois, one of 4 children born to Edward and Norma (Paulson) Hill. After graduating high
school, he served his country in the US military, serving in Korea. He also completed 4 years of college. James made a career in banking,
working for US Ameribank. He was married to Norma Paulson and they raised 6 children before her in death in May 1994. He later found
love again and was married to Janet Stevens. She, too, preceded him in death in March 2019.
James enjoyed talking with friends, horse shoes, and softball, religiously following the University of Arizona ladies softball team. He was a
member of the Romeo Club in Culver and was of the Catholic faith.
He is survived by sons: John Hill of Green Valley, AZ, Jim (Gabi) Hill of Carmel, IN, and Donald (Kelly) Hill of Rolling Meadows, IL;
daughters: Jean Mulvihill of Fishers, IN and Tricia (Rob) Skrinak of Springboro, OH; 15 grandchildren; and 7 great-grandchildren. In
addition to his 2 wives he was preceded in death by his parents, daughter Mary Jane, a brother and 2 sisters.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Mary’s of the Lake Catholic Church, Culver, IN, on Thursday, August 8, 2019 at 11:00 AM EST,
with a time to visit with the family from 9:00 – 10:30 AM EST at the Odom Funeral Home, Culver. The family and friends will then travel to
All Saints Cemetery in Des Plaines, IL for entombment on Friday at 12:00 noon Friday, August 9, 2019.
Memorials may be given to the Center for Hospice and Palliative Care.
