Ida V. DeSabatine
July 26, 1952 – February 1, 2021

Ida V. DeSabatine, the most fun loving, energetic, free spirited soul this world has ever known, passed away
February 1, 2021, after a short-term illness.
Ida was born July 26, 1952, to Ross and Helen (Welches) Graham in Gary, Indiana.
When Ida was young, she had a love for fast cars, horses, and she always wanted to grow up too fast. She was
independent, self-sufficient, and made her way into many people's hearts. She had a bunch of friends, a love for
dancing, and always lived life to its fullest.
Ida was happiest when she was surrounded by the smallest things. New flowers on the porch, sitting down by the
river she grew up on, a new sewing machine to play with, her favorite song playing while she was in the car, and of
course, spending time with her two boys Patrick and Dustin.
She also had a huge love for her partner and spouse of nearly 40 years, Thomas DeSabatine. Married on November
30, 1984, they were always on some sort of adventure, doing something fun. They completely adored each other,
clear until the very end.
Not enough can be written about her life’s accomplishments and passions. She was loved by so many and although
she will be deeply and painfully missed, her spirit will carry on with each of us every day.
Ida is survived by her loving husband Tom of Culver, Indiana, two sons, Patrick (Talia) Moyer of Plymouth, Indiana,
Dustin (Carolyn) DeSabatine of North Judson, Indiana, and 6 amazing grandchildren. She was preceded in death by
her father Ross Graham and mother Helen, as well as her grandparents John and Ida Graham and Robert and Anna
As requested by Ida, there will be no public services. She wanted everyone to remember her as she lived, with a
huge smile, incredible sense of humor, and always enjoying life.
