William E. Czerniak, 69, of Knox passed away peacefully at home on October 13, 2017.
Bill was born on June 28, 1948, in Gary, Indiana. He was one of 6 children born to
Stanley and Patricia (Bell) Czerniak. After his parents moved the family to Hamlet, Bill
met Marsha Paul while working at Wagner’s in Plymouth. They married in Knox on April
12, 1969. Together they raised 6 children. Bill was a welder for most of his life. He
spent many years working for Pirod, Inc. in Plymouth.
Bill liked to deer hunt, fish, and be with his family.
Bill is survived by his wife Marsha Czerniak of Knox, IN; children: Mary Carter of
Dawson Springs, KY, William Czerniak of Knox, IN, Bruce (Jody) Czerniak of Monterey,
IN, Chad (Christine) Czerniak of Hamlet, IN, Diana (Kent) Fish of Plymouth, IN, and Paul
Czerniak of Knox, IN; brothers Dave(Georgia) Czerniak and Stanley (Patricia) Czerniak;
sisters Mary Elizabeth Czerniak, Cathy “Cuppy” (Dave) Emmel; 11 grandchildren and 2
great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister Marsha
